The Carnival Series, 1992-1997
The Carnival Series poses silhouetted human figures against a backdrop of fantastic, garishly-lit structures reminiscent of a carnival midway. I use these juxtapositions to consider the mystery of the human soul and its relationship to the meaningless noise of modern society.
